Tennis is a dynamic and highly demanding sport that, due to numerous movements and rapid changes in direction, causes various injuries in both recreational and professional players. Participation in sports carries the risk of injury. All injuries that occur in tennis or sports in general have a significant impact on the athlete's career, health, and future life, regardless of whether they are a professional athlete or a recreational player. Among the most common injuries are tennis elbow, shoulder injuries, knee and ankle injuries, as well as lower back pain. The most frequent causes of tennis injuries are improper technique in repetitive strokes, muscle overuse, and insufficient physical preparation. The paper highlights the importance of proper warm-up, stretching, and muscle strengthening. It also discusses the acute phase of injury and strengthening exercises for specific muscles in the initial, progressive, and final phases of injury prevention, with an emphasis on concentric and eccentric exercises. In each of these phases of muscle strengthening, two exercises are provided, along with their number of repetitions and sets. The conclusion is that the key elements of injury prevention in tennis are good preparation, regular physical therapy, and persistence in tailored training to maintain health and ensure a long career. The main goal of this final paper is to determine the causes of the most common tennis injuries and find the most appropriate methods for preventing those injuries.
