Abstract | Na uzorku od 57 košarkaša, seniorske dobne kategorije s područja cijele Republike
sur., 2020).
omogućuje kvalitetno mjerenje pojavnosti boli i ozljeda košarkaša.
pojavnost i lokalizacije boli i ozljede koljena u košarci. |
Abstract (english) | An anonymous, newly constructed Questionnaire on the incidence of knee pain and
injuries (Penga et al., 2020) was applied on a sample of 57 basketball players from the
senior age category from all Croatian regions, who play in 1HL, which is the highest
level of competition in Croatia. The primary goal of the paper is to determine the
incidence and localization of knee pain in basketball, whereas the partial goals are to
determine the differences regarding their playing position and chronological age and to
determine the basic metric characteristics of the questionnaire. All players are of legal
age, ranging from 18 to 28 years old. The mean chronological age of players is 21.6
years. Their mean body height is 191.63 cm, and their mean body weight is 85.38 kg.
The questionnaire is adapted for basketball and has good metric characteristics that
enable quality measurement of the incidence of pain and injuries in basketball. The
results show that 66.67 % of basketball players feel pain on the front of the knee, 12.28
% on the side, whereas 21.05 % do not feel pain in the knee. Players who play center
position had no knee injuries, whereas players playing the power forward position
reported the most injuries – 71.43 %, back shooters had 33.33 %, players who play at
the small forward position had 14.29 %, and playmakers, players at position number 1,
reported 12.50 %. No statistically significant differences were found between the
respondents by chronological age. The questionnaire is a good measuring instrument for
assessing the incidence and localization of knee pain and injuries in basketball. |
