Zato postoji potreba za detaljnijim opisom tehnike i taktike, analizom učestalosti ozljeda, lokalizacijom, liječenja i mogućnosti preveniranja tipičnih ozljeda u kontaktnim sportovima. Pritom dolazi do ekstremnog zahtjeva kardiovaskularnog i dišnog sustava.
Abstract (english) In this work I will focus on the noble boxing skill, analyzing the technique and tactics of delivering the punches which are frequently forceful, precise and disrupt the balance of the opponent, leading ultimately to possible loss of consciousness. According to current research, chronic traumatic encelopathy (CTE) cannot be reliably diagnosed during life, nor treated, except symptomatically. Contact sports have seen a rise in popularity in the last two decades, with more and more young sportspersons getting involved. Some of them are motivated by recreational goals, most by improvement of bodily condition, while a small part discover true talent, with the help of their trainers, and go on to become active and professional sportspersons. Iti s necessary, therefore, to give a detailed description of techniques and tactics in contact sports, analysis of the frequency of typical injuries, as well as their localization, treatment and possible prevention. Boxing in particular is characterized by repetitive punches in the head which can lead to brain trauma. CTE is a pathological condition believed to be caused by repetitive brain trauma, and has been extensively documented in both contact sportspersons and military personned engaged in combat activities (McKee et al., 2009). Correct training process is of crucial importance for every professional sportsperson, both in order to achieve optimum form as well as to reduce susceptibility to brain trauma. Present-day professional contact sports often go beyond the limits of safety in terms of healthy bodily activity. The cardiovascular and respiratory systems are exposed to extreme exertion. In terms of physical demands and from the point of view of kinesiology, we can say that top-level sports training begins where the hard physical labour ends. It is imperative for boxers to be in top form in order to adequately respond to all the energy demands, receive as few punches in trunk and head and avoid possible brain trauma.
