Abstract
Osnovni cilj ovog istraživanja je utvrditi pojavnost, opseg i metode brzog mršavljenja kod amaterskih boksača. Uzorak ispitanika u ovom istraživanju sastojao se od osamdeset i šest amaterskih boksača iz četiri države (Hrvatska, Slovenija, Bosna i Hercegovina, i Srbija). Normalitet distribucije rezultata testiran je Kolmogorov-Smirnovljev testom. Kako distribucija nije narušena, rezultati su prikazani putem aritmetičke sredine (AS) ± standardna devijacija (SD), raspona, frekvencija i postotnih poena (%). Sportaši teži više od 91 kg isključeni su iz ovog istraživanja, jer ne trebaju gubiti kilograme. Prema RWLQ rezultatima, vidljivo je prakticiranje metoda brzog mršavljenja kod svih boksača (100%). Tri najčešće korištene metode bile su: više vježbanja, ograničavanje unosa tekućine i preskakanje 1 ili 2 obroka. Rezultati ukazuju da boksači koji su promijenili težinsku kategoriju imaj značajno više RWLQ rezultat (t=2.27, p=0.03) u odnosu na one koji su ostali u svojim kategorijama. Na temelju on-line upitnika dobivene su informacije, pojavnosti, opsegu i metodama brzog mršavljenja kod amaterskih boksača.
Abstract (english)
The main goal of this research is to determine the frequency, extent and methods of rapid weight loss among amateur boxers. The sample of respondents in this study is consisted of eighty-six amateur boxers from four countries (Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia). The normality of the distribution results was tested by the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. As the distribution is not impacted, the results are presented by arithmetic mean (AS) ± standard deviation (SD), range, frequency and percentage points (%). Athletes weighing more than 91kg are excluded from this study because they do not need to lose kilograms. According to the RWLQ results, the practice of rapid weight loss methods is visible among all boxers (100%).. The three most commonly used methods were: more exercise, limiting fluid intake and skipping 1 or 2 meals. The results indicate that boxers who changed weight category had significantly higher RWLQ result (t = 2.27, p = 0.03) compared to those which remained in their categories. Based on an online questionnaire, information was obtained on the frequency, extent and methods of rapid weight loss in amateur boxers.
