Abstract
Jakost je jedna od najvažnijih biomotoričkih sposobnosti za većinu sportova, pa tako i košarku. Jakost je temelj za generiranje maksimalne snage i održavanje ponavljajućih mišićnih kontrakcija, drugim riječima, mišićne izdržljivosti. Periodizirani režim treninga jakosti može biti izvrstan alat za maksimiziranje rezultata izvedbe. Fiziološke prilagodbe neuromuskularnog sustava koje trening opterećenja može donijeti vrlo su specifične za program treninga koji sportaš koristi. Atletske performanse mogu se maksimalizirati samo ako režim treninga pruža odgovarajuću varijaciju. Dostupne su mnoge metode za poticanje varijacije treninga, a mnoge od njih mogu rezultirati vrlo specifičnim fiziološkim prilagodbama. Konačno, kako bi se doista povećala učinkovitost režima treninga jakosti, on mora biti integriran u sveobuhvatni periodizirani plan treninga košarkaške ekipe. Dodavanje treninga jakosti u sportašev plan treninga bez razmatranja drugih trenažnih aktivnosti neće povećati rezultate izvedbe.
Abstract (english)
Strength is one of the most important biomotor abilities for most sports, as well as basketball. Strength is the foundation for both generating maximal power and maintaining repetitive muscular contractions, in other words, muscular endurance. A periodized strength training regime can be an excellent tool for maximizing performance outcomes. The physiological adaptations to the neuromuscular system that resistance training can bring about are very specific to the training program that the basketball athlete uses. Athletic performance can be maximized only if the training regime provides appropriate variation. Many methods for inducing training variation are available, and many of them can result in very specific physiological adaptations. Finally, to truly maximize the effectiveness of a strength training regime, it must be integrated into the comprehensive periodized training plan developed for the basketball team. Simply adding strength training to basketball athlete’s training plan without considering the other training activities will not maximize performance outcomes.
