Abstract
U završnom radu obradit ćemo nekoliko ključnih aspekata vezanih uz sportsko penjanje, s posebnim naglaskom na stres i anksioznost koji utječu na performanse sportaša U uvodnom dijelu definirat ćemo sportsko penjanje kao disciplinu te analizirati osnovne zahtjeve sporta, uključujući fizičke, tehničke i mentalne izazove s kojima se sportaši suočavaju. Baviti ćemo se općim pregledom stresa i anksioznosti u sportu, te kako oni utječu na izvedbu sportaša. Obradit ćemo ključne teorije i modele koji objašnjavaju ove psihološke fenomene, s naglaskom na specifične faktore koji su prisutni u ekstremnim sportovima poput penjanja. Razmatrat ćemo metode pomoću kojih se stres i anksioznost mogu mjeriti i evaluirati. Objasnit ćemo psihometrijske alate, kao i fiziološke pokazatelje (srčani ritam, hormoni stresa) koji pomažu u procjeni stresne reakcije sportaša tijekom natjecanja i treninga. Detaljno ćemo analizirati glavne izvore stresa u sportskom penjanju, uključujući tehničke izazove, složenost smjerova, pritisak rezultata, strah od pada i ozljeda, te fizičku iscrpljenost. Također ćemo istražiti kako natjecateljski stres utječe na psihofizičku pripremljenost penjača i njihove natjecateljske performanse.
Abstract (english)
In this final paper, we will address several key aspects related to sport climbing, with a particular focus on stress and anxiety that affect athletes' performance. In the introductory section, we will define sport climbing as a discipline and analyze the basic demands of the sport, including the physical, technical, and mental challenges athletes face. We will provide a general overview of stress and anxiety in sports and how they influence athletes' performance. Key theories and models explaining these psychological phenomena will be discussed, with an emphasis on specific factors present in extreme sports like climbing. We will examine the methods used to measure and evaluate stress and anxiety. Psychometric tools will be explained, as well as physiological indicators (heart rate, stress hormones) that help assess athletes' stress responses during competitions and training. We will thoroughly analyze the main sources of stress in sport climbing, including technical challenges, route complexity, pressure to achieve results, fear of falling and injuries, and physical exhaustion. Additionally, we will explore how competitive stress impacts the psychophysical readiness of climbers and their competitive performance.
