Abstract
Cilj ovog rada je objasniti efekt relativne dobi te prikazati njegov utjecaj na razvoj nogometaša. Kroz rad su opisani osnovni pojmovi što se tiče dobi sportaša kao što su kronološka, biološka i relativna dob. Također su i izneseni rezultati istraživanja koja su se bavila istraživanjem utjecaja relativne dobi na razvoj nogometaša. Objašnjena su i neka moguća rješenja koja bi mogla pomoći smanjenju fenomena efekta relativne dobi te koja bi mogla pomoći budućim trenerima da smanje utjecaj relativne dobi na razvoj nogometaša. Naglašena je važnost stvaranja svijesti među svim dionicima tijekom razvoja jednog nogometaša o utjecaju relativne dobi na njegov razvoj.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to explain the relative age effect and illustrate its impact on the development of football players. The paper describes fundamental concepts related to athletes' age, including chronological, biological, and relative age. It also presents research results that have investigated the influence of relative age on the development of football players. Additionally, some possible solutions are explained, which could help reduce the phenomenon of the relative age effect and assist future coaches in mitigating its impact on the development of football players. Emphasizing the importance of creating awareness among all stakeholders during the development of a football player about the influence of relative age on their development.
