način steknu snagu tijela, fleksibilnost mišića i održe dobru posturu tijela. Samim time
utrnulost ekstremiteta. Također, vježbanje poboljšava mišićnu ravnotežu te dovodi do
smanjene incidencije padova i udaraca. S redovnim vježbanjem dolazi do smanjenja
gastrointestinalnih smetnji poput teškoća s probavom, opstipacije i slično.
Uslijed povećane snage trupa i zdjelice i veće pokretljivosti zglobova ublažavaju se
bolovi u navedenim dijelovima tijela.
carskim rezom. Vježbanje tijekom trudnoće treba uključivati i pravilnu tehniku disanja
tijekom trudova i porođaja.
rez, epidural anesteziju i epiziotomiju.
Abstract (english) Nowadays, there is an increasing number of people, including women, who suffer from
back pain. Given that low back pain positively correlates with age, and women tend to
get pregnant later in their life, it is logical that problems with the musculoskeletal system
occur in an increasing percentage of pregnant women. For an easier birth, one of the most
important factors is physical condition of women. When we include the fact that we are
the fattest nation in Europe and only 10% of Croatians are physically active enough, it is
clear that a lot can be done to make women aware that exercise during pregnancy is safe,
necessary and brings many benefits to both the mother and the baby. It is obvious that one
should not overdo activities during pregnancy. However, well-managed programs for
pregnant women by an expert will help pregnant women to gain body strength, muscle
flexibility and maintain good body posture in an appropriate way. This alone reduces the
chance of musculoskeletal complications or pain during pregnancy and midwifery.
Research has shown that regular exercise during pregnancy improves circulation and thus
reduces complaints caused by poor circulation, such as swelling and numbness of the
extremities. Also, exercise improves muscle balance and leads to a reduced incidence of
falls and blows. With regular exercise, there is a reduction in gastrointestinal disorders
such as indigestion, constipation and the like.
Due to the increased strength of the core and pelvis and greater mobility of the joints, the
pain in this parts of the body is alleviated.
It is very important to emphasize that regular exercise during pregnancy alleviates
problems with the inability to hold urine or lower the pelvic floor and facilitates recovery
in the first year of the postpartum period, whether the birth was vaginal or cesarean.
Exercise during pregnancy should also include proper breathing technique during labor
and delivery. In this way, the pregnant woman is well prepared for childbirth and is taught
to breathe properly during labor. It is much easier for her and she feels less anxious when
she has already prepared tools to deal with labor pains. The pregnant woman is calmer
and has a sense of autonomy during childbirth. The moment when the pregnant woman
realizes that she is not the object over which the birth takes place, but the main character,
is perhaps the most important moment that the teacher of the pregnancy exercise program
should try to convey. The pregnant woman needs to be convinced that she is the main character of her birth and
that she is the one who will deal with possible complications related to caesarean section,
epidural anesthesia and episiotomy for the rest of her life.
It is crucial that a pregnant woman gains confidence in her body that she can give birth
and that she is not afraid of labor pains. This would avoid a good percentage of
unnecessary interventions during childbirth, which would be beneficial for everyone -
pregnant women who need medical help during childbirth would receive it immediately,
and those who do not need it would give birth without unnecessary interventions and thus
would not be exposed to the risk of certain complications.
