Abstract
Glavni cilj ovoga rada jest predstaviti ozljede u profesionalnom i amaterskom boksu te elemente prevencije ozljeda u boksu. Boks postaje sve popularniji sport, sa širokim spektrom zainteresiranih kandidata, od onih koji žele smršaviti do onih koji se žele baviti profesionalnim boksom. Profesionalni i amaterski boks kao sport je često predmet kritika jer se smatra agresivnim, grubim i opasnim. Mnoge medicinske analize pokazuju da je broj smrtnih slučajeva u boksu značajno rjeđi nego li kod nekih drugih sportova, a ozljede u boksu se najčešće povezuju s ozljedama u regiji glave. Pravilan trening i pravilna priprema boksača su ključni za minimalan rizik po zdravlje, a ozljede su neizbježne posljedice bavljenja sportom. Važnu ulogu u prevenciji ozljeda čini zaštitina oprema, pravilan trening i priprema.
Abstract (english)
The main goal of this paper is to present the injuries and elements of injury prevention in professional and amateur boxing. Boxing is becoming an increasingly popular sport, with a wide range of interested candidates, from those who want to lose weight to those who want to practice professional boxing. Professional and amateur boxing as a sport is often the subject of criticism, because it is considered aggressive, rough and dangerous. Many medical analyzes show that the number of deaths in boxing is significantly lower than in some other sports, and boxing is most often associated with injuries in the head region. Proper training and proper preparation of boxers are key to minimal health risk, and injuries are the inevitable consequences of playing sports. An important role in injury prevention is protective equipment, proper training and preparation.
