Abstract
Powerlifting kao sport postaje sve popularniji i rasprostranjeniji u svijetu, a u njemu se mogu natjecati i žene i muškarci, dok dobnog ograničenja gotovo i nema. Postoje powerlifteri srednjoškolske dobi pa sve do powerliftera u zrelijoj dobi. Powerlifting je još uvijek neolimpijski sport koji uključuje tri discipline: potisak s klupe, mrtvo dizanje i čučanj. Sve tri vježbe koriste se u treningu različitih sportova, ali u powerliftingu je osnovni cilj povećanje maksimalne snage, odnosno cilj je podići najveće moguće opterećenje u sve tri discipline kroz tri pokušaja za svaku disciplinu po posebno definiranim pravilima uz poštivanje znakova sudaca. Ovaj sport zahtjeva razumijevanje tehnike izvođenja vježbi i način programiranja treninga, gdje se najbolji uspješni pokušaj iz sve tri discipline uzima u zbroj ili total i zatim služe za rangiranje natjecatelja prema određenim kriterijima. Cilj ovog rada je upoznati se s poviješću powerliftinga, dozvoljenom opremom, disciplinama i različitostima u organizacijama.
Abstract (english)
Powerlifting as a sport is becoming increasingly popular in the world and both women and men can compete in it. There is almost no age limit, so there are powerlifters from highschool age to adolthood. Powerlifting is still a Non-Olympic sport and includes three disciplines: bench press, deadlift and squat. Athletes in many other sports use these exercises, but in powerlifting the main goal is to lift as much weight as possible, according to specifically defined rules and respecting tag signs of judges. For that reason it requires understanding the techniques of performing the exercises and the methods of training programming. Successful attempt from all three disciplines is taken in total, then serves to rank the competitor according to certain criteria. The purpose of this study is to present history of powerlifting, allowed equipment, disciplines and differences in organisations.
